We are in the final stages of the Age of Pisces. An Astrological Age is a period of approximately 2000 years (2160 to be more precise), and the current Age started around the year 0, 2000 years ago. The sign of Pisces is a very enigmatic one - it is the sign of contradictions such as; profound clarity and deep realizations alongside great confusion and denial. This sign also covers dreams, explorations of the mind and exciting, ground-breaking advancements in science, whilst also representing delusion, deception and deceit.
The sign of Pisces also represents the whole theme of ‘endings’. Not only is Pisces the last sign of our Western Zodiac (Aries is the first), but it is the sign of finding peace and acceptance for change and for the natural flow of cycles in existence.
These last 2000 years of human civilization have been so difficult and challenging that when I stop to consider all the hard lessons we have had to learn, I am overwhelmed by the difficulty of our path. Then the dual fish splashes around a bit in my mind and I realize that life and learning go hand in hand, that the school of life is not necessarily ‘work’, and that sometimes simply being in acceptance is the lesson learned.
In approximately 140 years from now, we will be headed into the Age of Aquarius, leaving behind the challenges and rewards of the Age of Pisces for different times, different challenges and different opportunities for learning.
